WWE is turning up the heat this summer by expanding SummerSlam into a two-night event for the first time ever. Set in New Jersey, this weekend’s show will be packed with 13 matches across Saturday and Sunday, August 2 and 3. The main cards begin at 7 p.m. ET each night, streaming live on Peacock.
The main event features a high-stakes rematch between John Cena and Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Cena beat Rhodes at WrestleMania 41 to win the title, but Rhodes earned another shot by winning the King of the Ring tournament.
Night 1 – Saturday, August 2
World Heavyweight Championship: Gunther (c) vs. CM Punk
Gunther is back on top after regaining his title from Jey Uso. Now, CM Punk is coming for him. This marks Punk’s first real shot at gold since returning to WWE in 2023.
WWE Women’s Championship: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Jade Cargill
Cargill earned this opportunity by defeating Asuka. Stratton had to beat legend Trish Stratus at Evolution to keep her title. This is a classic new-school vs. next-generation battle.
Randy Orton & Jelly Roll vs. Drew McIntyre & Logan Paul
Country star Jelly Roll teams with veteran Randy Orton to face Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre. It all started when Paul attacked Orton during a Jelly Roll concert on SmackDown.
Women’s Tag Team Championship: Judgment Day (Raquel Rodriguez & Roxanne Perez) (c) vs. Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair used her legacy to land this match, hoping to add another championship to her résumé with partner Alexa Bliss.
Roman Reigns & Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed
This tag match came together after Reigns returned to save Jey Uso and CM Punk from a post-match attack. Now he joins forces with Uso to take on the powerful duo of Breakker and Reed.
Sami Zayn vs. Karrion Kross
After weeks of sneak attacks and psychological games, Zayn finally gets his chance to shut down Kross in a personal grudge match.
Night 2 – Sunday, August 3
Undisputed WWE Championship (Street Fight): John Cena (c) vs. Cody Rhodes
The rematch from WrestleMania is here, and this time it’s no rules. After Rhodes won King of the Ring, he challenged Cena to a street fight for the title. Expect chaos.
Women’s World Championship: Naomi (c) vs. Iyo Sky vs. Rhea Ripley
Naomi cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase at Evolution to win the title. Now she must defend it against two former champions in a triple threat.
Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lyra Valkyria
Valkyria earned this shot by winning a grueling series of matches. Can she dethrone Becky, or will “The Man” continue her reign?
United States Championship (Steel Cage): Solo Sikoa (c) vs. Jacob Fatu
After trying to frame Fatu for a car crash, Sikoa now has to face him one-on-one inside a steel cage. There’s nowhere to hide.
Intercontinental Championship: Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. AJ Styles
Dominik has dodged AJ for months using a fake doctor’s note. Now that he’s cleared, there’s no more excuses. Styles finally gets his shot.
WWE Tag Team Championship (TLC Match): Wyatt Sicks (c) vs. #DIY vs. Street Profits vs. Fraxiom vs. Motor City Machine Guns vs. Andrade & Rey Fenix
This loaded match features six top teams battling in a tables, ladders, and chairs match for the tag team titles. Expect high-flying moves, chaos, and a possible show-stealer.
