WWE Shakes Up NXT: Backstage Heat, “Lazy” Labels, and Surprising Releases Spark Fan Outrage

Cora Jade from WWE's NXT

WWE stirred up major backlash after cutting several NXT stars. Fans reacted with confusion and frustration, especially over the release of rising names like Cora Jade, Gigi Dolin, and Jakara Jackson.

According to Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer, WWE released these talents due to their attitude and performance during training—not their in-ring work. Behind the scenes, WWE labeled some as “lazy,” citing a lack of effort.

“Many of those cut didn’t work hard in training,” Meltzer explained. “And with so many who do, there’s no room for those who don’t. The lazy ones are gone. The ones who didn’t stand out are gone.”

This approach shocked fans. Many believe Gigi Dolin and Shotzi delivered solid performances. Cora Jade had even been balancing roles in both NXT and TNA before her exit.

Critics now question WWE’s standards in its developmental system. Did the company give up too soon on future stars?

Despite the heat, some released talents are already making moves. Cora Jade unveiled a new in-ring name and teased an OnlyFans debut, suggesting a bold shift in her career.

Expect more updates as others break their silence. The NXT roster may be leaner—but the drama just got louder.
